stupid question regarding webservice @ fabrice harrari

Hi Forum,

I read several posts, where Fabrice is prividing Rest Webservices by using AWP pages.
I did the same in webDev and consume the services with WD Mobile, and it works great.

Question: Is this kind of web service only usable within the WX family or also by third party products, so will his kind of service respect all standards?
