I need some advice and maybe somebody has already done something like this.

My client operates a warehouse. When a truck is loaded a lading sheet is printed on what pallets must go onto that truck. Each pallet has a barcode.

My thinking was the loading note will be created in Webdev. A WD Mobile application running on the handheld scanner will download the loading note with the barcodes.

The user will then go and scan the pallets as they are loaded. If he scans a pallet not on the loading note he will get a warning on the handheld. If he misses a pallet he will get a warning before he completes the loading note.

Any ideas on what handheld scanner will do the trick?

Any ideas/suggestions regarding the methodology I described above.
