Automatic Refresh mechanism for Internal Pages

Hello All:

There is a "Refresh" mechanism from the server, that can be set up in the Details tab of a page, according to this help page;

And there are "Refresh the data - server side" and "After refreshing the data - browser side" entries in the code to embed code for actions.

However, even when the Internal Pages also have same entries in the code, there is no such option in the Details tab, so I'm wondering how the automatic refresh mechanism can be done in Internal pages.
I tried activating the refresh in the page where the iPAGE is inserted (through a Dashboard control), but the embedded code from the iPAGE is never activated.

Does someone have any experience with this?
